Kellogg Wholesale Building Supply has been supplying Northern Michigan with quality building products since 1959. We are an independent, family owned distribution operation providing specialty goods to retail lumber yards and home centers across the state of Michigan.
Founded by Ray and Dorothy Kellogg in 1959, Kellogg Wholesale Building Supply began in the former Chevrolet garage across from the historic Park Place Hotel on State Street in downtown Traverse City. Ray soon acquired the buildings and real estate of T.C. Lumber located on Cass Road on the banks of Boardman Lake and in the years that followed Kellogg Wholesale became a stronghold in the distribution of building products throughout northern lower Michigan and it's upper peninsula. Early in the spring of 1977 a devastating fire destroyed the property and required an immediate move in order to continue operations. Within one weeks time Kellogg Wholesale was back on its feet and operating in the former Morgan & McCool Storgage Building, just one mile south of evacuated property. Today John and Sara Kellogg are dedicated to continuing the success of the family business by offering the resources, programs and services that help give our customers a competitive and profitable edge in the industry and providing our suppliers access to a strong northern Michigan market.
